A leading consumer products and entertainment company in the San Fernando Valley is seeking an experienced attorney to provide immediate support for its litigation team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment litigation, general litigation, or a combination of both, and be comfortable managing a steady volume of routine employment-related claims and disputes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage employment-related claims, including wrongful termination, workplace disputes, and workers' compensation matters.
- Handle litigation matters from inception through resolution, including case assessment, strategy development, discovery, motion practice, and settlement negotiations.
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation-related documents.
- Advise internal stakeholders on employment and litigation risks.
- Support state and federal court proceedings, mediations, arbitrations, and depositions.
- Collaborate with outside counsel and internal business partners as needed.
- Assist with risk management and dispute resolution strategies.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active California Bar membership.
- 6-10+ years of litigation experience required
- Experience managing wrongful termination, workers' compensation, and other employment-related claims preferred.
- Strong legal writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Information:
- Compensation: $80.00 - $100.00/hour depending on experience
